Overview
What is LSSA?
LSSA is the only competitive soccer club in Lancaster. Players range from 5 to 18 years old. Everyone involved in operating LSSA is a volunteer, including coaches, board members, and team administrators. This allows LSSA to keep player fees at least 50% lower than other clubs in central Ohio. LSSA has grown over the last 40 years, after starting with just a handful of players on 2 teams. LSSA now has over 200 players on 14+ teams. LSSA has created the perfect environment for young players who want to play competitive soccer without the financial burdens of competing clubs. And LSSA doesn’t just compete with these clubs. It wins. A lot.
What is Our Challenge?
Our ability to develop players is limited by our lack of resources. The City dictates when, who, and how often our club can use fields to practice. Our players are confined to small portions of a field, often being shared by up to 3 other teams. Unfortunately, our players are not even able to shoot on goals during practice. The Parks & Rec Department does the best they can to maintain the existing fields. But they are also limited by a lack of resources. As a result, the grass is dying in most areas and weeds run rampant. It’s fairly common to find rocks, holes, and garbage on the fields on any given day.
What Do We Need?
Resources and help from the community. LSSA has secured the exclusive right to lease fields at a nearby property in the heart of Lancaster. In order to make the new fields operational, we need to raise enough capital to help fund the costs of the new equipment and minimize the financial impact on our players and their families. Although donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated, we hope you will consider one of the opportunities described in the attached brochure to help us achieve our goals.
Who Benefits?
Our players, our parents, and our local community. Soccer is the most popular youth sport in Lancaster (and the country). Everyone should be able to play, regardless of economic status or position. By committing to a corporate sponsorship, local businesses have the opportunity to invest in our community, our children, and our overall success. This commitment will be recognized in every way possible to ensure our sponsors are patronized by our members.
What does LSSA have to offer?
LSSA has the ability to promote your business to potential customers in Lancaster and throughout Central Ohio. We can prominently display your name and logo on a variety of mediums, including field signage, game jerseys, practice jerseys, and social media.
Are general donations accepted?
Absolutely! LSSA appreciates donations of any kind or amount. LSSA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, meaning personal or corporate donations may be tax deductible. LSSA will provide a written receipt for donations $250.00 or greater.
