How much does it cost to play for LSSA?
LSSA has adopted a “tiered” approach to Player Fees to account for cost variations across
different age groups. The following table represents LSSA’s fees for the 2024-2025 season:

o Field rental costs and equipment for in-season training
o Two (2) practice jerseys
o Indoor training opportunities during winter
What is not included in the Player Fees?
o Uniforms (jerseys, shorts, socks)
o Travel costs or hotel accommodations for tournaments (if necessary)
How do I secure my roster spot?
You will receive an invoice from Team Snap after verbally accepting a roster spot. Within seven
(7) days from the date this invoice is sent, parents must either (1) pay the Player Fees in full or,
(2) submit a non-refundable deposit equal to the 1st monthly payment on Team Snap. See
below for deposit amounts. Player Fees may also be paid in-full prior to the deposit deadline.
Are payment plans available?
Yes! The number of installments and monthly payment amounts are based upon age group:
Age Group Annual Fees Monthly
Installments
Monthly
Payment
U8 $350 6 $58.33
U9 – U10 $700 9 $77.77
U11 – U12 $725 9 $80.55
U13 – U15 $750 9 $83.33
U16 – U19 $600 4 $150.00
Note: The Monthly Payment amount does not include Team Snap processing fees.
Payment of the non-refundable deposit will be applied as the first monthly payment under the
payment plan. The second monthly payment is due July 1 and on the first day of each
subsequent month until the Player Fees are paid in-full.
How do I sign up for a payment plan?
The monthly installments will be automatically charged to the credit card entered in Team Snap
when a roster spot is accepted if the payment plan option is chosen.
What happens if I miss a monthly payment?
Parents are responsible for maintaining a valid source of payment in Team Snap. The most
important (and helpful) thing you can do is contact the club if you missed a payment. The
second most important thing you can do is respond to e-mails from the Administration Director
about missed payments.
The club understands things happen. Credit cards expire and sudden expenses come up.
Everyone is allowed one (1) grace period of 10 days to cover a missed payment. Any missed
payments after the initial grace period are subject to late fees of $25.00 to help cover the
administrative cost of collecting monthly payments. In the event two or more monthly payments
are missed, LSSA reserves the right to pull the player’s card until the account is returned to
good-standing. LSSA will make every effort to resolve missed payments before pulling a player’s
card, but the responsibility ultimately lies with parents and guardians. Any outstanding account
balances and/or collection issues will be handled by the Board of Directors.
Do I have to use Team Snap to pay for Player Fees?
Yes, if you elect to enter into a payment plan. However, you can save the processing fees (4.0%)
charged by Team Snap if you submit a check covering all Player Fees, in-full, by the deposit
deadline. Checks should be made payable to Lancaster Select Soccer Association and delivered
to a coach, board member, or the PO Box (Lancaster Select Soccer Association PO Box 1240
Lancaster, OH 43130).
Does LSSA offer discounts?
Yes! Here is a current schedule of discounts:

Sister 3 plays spring only. Sister 2 will receive a $50.00, but no discount will be applied

Does LSSA offer refunds for Player Fees?
LSSA will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will generally be offered
under special circumstances, including injuries, illness, family relocation, and/or other unique
scenarios. Please contact the Board of Directors to request a refund as soon as possible.
Why did the player fees increase?
Player fees were raised slightly for the 2024-2025 season. This increase was not taken lightly,
and represents the minimum amount needed to cover rising costs of referees and tournaments.
The increase in fees will also help cover operating and maintenance costs for our new fields.
LSSA’s goal is to make Player Fees as affordable as possible. This is why LSSA’s fees are usually
50% - 70% less than clubs we compete against – and beat!
How often are practices?
Teams usually practice 1-3 times a week, depending on the team, age group, and coach.
Although players are expected to regularly attend practice, occasional absences for illness,
vacation, or other family/school obligations are unavoidable. Just be sure to communicate
absences to your coach ahead of time.
What about games?
Games are scheduled based on the availability of coaches, referees, and opposing teams.
Games may be scheduled during the week and on the weekend. You will also play in 2-3
tournaments per season, which will involve multiple games throughout the weekend.
What kind of travel is required for games?
Away league games are primarily located in and around the greater Columbus-area (i.e. Hilliard,
Worthington, New Albany, Pickerington). Tournaments are chosen by the coach based on
schedule and can be several hours from Central Ohio.
How long is the commitment?
Unless other arrangements are made in advance, LSSA expects players to commit to playing 2
seasons during the 2024-25 year:
o Fall (August – October 2024) and
o Spring (March – May 2025)
